About Doctor

Dr. Iyad Hassan is a doctor with more than 15 years of experience in the field of general and endocrine surgery. In 1998, Dr. Iyad Hassan went onto complete his MBBS degree from Philipps University of Marburg, Germany. In the year 2005, he qualified for the German Board of Surgery and also for the German Board of Visceral Surgery in 2007. In 2012. He went onto become a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). The next year he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow (FRCS). For 10 years he worked at the University Hospital of Marburg as a Consultant for Endocrine and Surgical Oncology. Since 2009, he moved to Abu Dhabi to hold a governmental post as Head of General, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery. Till date, he has successfully performed 1500 cancer surgeries filled with complexities. He is also a member of the Arab Medical Union in Europe, German Society of Surgery, Society of Computer and Telemetric Assisted Surgery, and many other such memberships.
